Electronic Communication Policy:

In an effort to keep your information secure, our office has elected to communicate via secure messaging via the patient portal.  Patients may send securely communicate to the office via the portal. Furthermore, patients will only receive secure text reminders and/or email.  Please ensure that your information remains up to date in our system to receive these updates.  There will be no patient communication via email. Please utilize the messaging platform via patient portal.  Please contact us to reset your patient portal credentials.  

Secure online portals are a form of digital engagement that play a major role in fostering this Patient-Provider communication. Charis Mental Health utilizes technology which such as portals because they have become increasingly effective in enhancing communication between patients and providers.

These portals are secure online platforms that provide immediate access for our patients on their health records, to schedule appointments, pay bills, and enable secure conversations with our practice. 

Although Charis Mental Health, LLC will try to read and respond promptly to your secure messages;  Charis Mental Health, LLC staff may not read your secure message immediately. Therefore, you should not use e-mail to communicate with Charis Mental Health, LLC if there is an emergency or where you require an answer in a short period of time.  If your message requires or asks for a response and you have not received a response within a reasonable time period, it is your responsibility to follow up directly with our practice.
